I must blog about this!

How fortunate I am when Hb decided to bring me along on his business trip to Tokyo. We went a couple of days earlier on the weekend so that he accompanied me. I got the luxury of staying another 2 days before he proceed to another province. Over the 2 days, he worked; I shopped!

The girls in Tokyo are simply gorgeous & beautiful. A stone threw would hit someone pretty. I felt that the Japanese girls are really expert at makeup!

Things in Tokyo are expensive compared with Singapore & there are easily available in Taobao.com at a relatively cheaper price though material may sometimes be compromised.

Our 1st meal in Ikebukuro, MOS burger at Metropolitan Hotel's doorstep. Waiting for our burgers..

Next stop - Meiji Shrine @ Harajuku
The complicated train lines, approx. 5 different railway system provider and the busiest transit station is Shinjuku - with up to 2 million people daily

When we alight at Harajuku, the exit is crowded with lots of youngster. On the contrary, entrance of Meiji Shrine seemed to be less crowded. Hb told me that I'll be expecting something different from the bustling station.

Cool breeze brushing my face as I walked along the long pebble walkway. Stridulation from crickets, bird chrips on tall trees with overlaying branches that stretched out like a tunnel just made me felt as though I am moving into another zone, tranquil and peaceful. The refreshing air breathed in somehow has the power to immediately calm down any anxiety and relieve any stress.

It was awesome.

It was an amazing sight to spot 2 Shinto wedding parties. Their bride wore traditional Japanese wedding kimono together with shrine maidens, Shinto priest and women wearing gorgeous kimono parading through the inner ground of the shrine.

Following day, we visited Mount Fuji. We booked a day trip with Viator.com. which cost USD 191.52 per pax (exclude Lunch). This day trip is inclusive of the following:-

Picturesque drive to Mt Fuji fifth station (climbing to the top of Mt Fuji is allowed in Jul/Aug only)
Fuji visitor centre to see art dedicated to Fujisan
Cruise on Lake Ashi
Mt Komagatake serial cableway with views over Hakone National Park
Return trip to Tokyo by famous Shinkansen bullet train

At Mt Fuji fifth station, the temperature is appox. 6 degrees. It was freezing when the wind blew; fog came and disappear at interval. Not knowing it was so cool up there, i wore only a jacket with sleeves up to elbow only. Standing next to the warmer in the shop was the only solution to prevent me turning into ICE. Haha, exaggerating!

Royce Kids Gym Extension

Went with Sz to Royce Kids Gym on 30 April & they extended their playarea by taking over the area that was previously leased to Gelato ice cream.

Apart from the standard $12, we have to top up another $2 to let our child enjoy the facilities there, there is

a baby corner where there is a playpen, a few walkers,
book-reading corner (my favourite as they have many nice, colourful & NEW storybooks),
building corner (half built house where they kids can saw & build the house),
colouring corner (where kids would be given colouring sheets to colour),
snacking corner (with biscuits, milo, hot tea, vitasoy milk, etc. for parents & kids.

As their flooring is not laid with sponge floor mat; i felt that it is not as safe as the main playarea.

My neighbour's twins birthday at Aloha Resorts Chalet; my 1st time there as most of the times, we would book either Aranda, Downtown East or Costa Sands Chalets. I didnt even know that Aloha Resorts' presence. Therefore, it resulted in a few detours.

When we finally got there, I am rather amazed. A multi-racial family!

Shernice 3rd Bday

It is always gathering for us whenever our child celebrates birthday.

It is also the same on the 17 of April fror SHERNICE's 3rd Birthday except that 2 mummies is busy burying their heads in their books. However, they have sent their hubbies as their representative.

Isnt it sweet that the hubby brought along the kid despite the absence of his wife?

This time round, the kids have a lot more playing area & there is no need for them to snatch over one car, instead there is 3!

When the cake is being brought out; the excited children surrounded the cake like it was their birthday, especially Ethan. He forever smiley and camera ready for posing in front of birthday cake.

Did you spot the unhappy birthday girl? She must be pondering why there is so much of photo-taking on every cake cutting session including hers.

Simply Hearts Pink Lenses

Having done lasik 3 years ago, I did not dare to try to put on contact lenses because my bff told me it is not advisable to do so. She tried once and told me she spent a longer time to remove the lens from the eye. Thereafter her eyes would turn red n hurts.

As usual, the "kia si" me would refrain from wearing lenses no matter how I much I longed for it.

Finally, I couldn't resist anymore when i chanced on PinkyParadise; they have a whole range of beautiful lenses which were recommended in Jap magazine. (Oh ya, I'm very into Jap makeup recently)

I bought 3 pairs of colour lenses from them & the package came with cute contact lens holders for each pair (see pic below), took only 2 holders cos I gave one to Eling.

Ok, the difference between with & without lenses. Although I have a big eye but my black eyeball is very small. *sobs*

Super "hiao" me also bought the ring light that many famous bloggers such as Xiaxue, Elaine Yuki and Miyake is using. Whahahahahaha, my BMWs buey tahan me for this.

Well, late post again.

Nuffnang invited me to McDonald's food tasting event on 22 Feb 2011 for the new addition to their list to "Make it better" - ***Chicken McGrill***

This is my 1st time being invited to such event, I was quite skeptic about it because my blog's traffic is not high. Anyway, I would have McDonald as dinner if it turned out to be a fraud.

It was quite embarrassing because I didnt know that I cant bring Ethan along. Oops! He kept wanting to tag along when he heard I am going to his favourite "M" and my mum had something on; so he's there. He sure had lots of fun being the youngest blogger! Ha ha ha!!

Chicken McGrill - teppanyaki grilled chicken thigh with whole-leaf lettuce & fresh red tomato slice spreaded with char-grill sauce. It was juicy & delicious! More choices for me to choose in future!

McDonald is very nice to give Ethan 9pcs nuggets when he asked for it.. again, so embarrassing! *act blur*

His fav McDonald French Fries!! He's super happy that day because he finished all the fries while mummy was busy chatting with others.

I love Ethan's bangs a lot but I guessed it's time for a change.

He has been scratching his head frequently & his hair stunk whenever he sweat. Another concern would be, people would ask me his gender even when he's wearing a boyish outfit.

As he has been quite keen to have a hairstyle like his daddy, I took this chance to bring him to our hairstylist, Caine before he changes his mind.

TADAH! His look completely changed!

Well.. i still prefer the old him. He's MORE ADORABLE!

Had my 1st street jazz class with Sandy last fri, the experience was funny. Suddenly felt so old when I looked at my classmates. Nonetheless, I can be very sure that I am not the oldest because Sandy is. *giggles*

I noticed that I have problem coordinating my hands & legs, is it because of age that i am less agile than the younger or I have no rhythm sense? Am lagging by seconds...

I am glad that I go for yoga regularly so I have no problem doing the warm-up exercise whereas Sandy complained that she has bodyache for 2 days after the class.

I am loving it more, hopefully I will get more agile & build up my sense for rhythm after attending more classes.

After class, I went over to MS's Kbox for Desmond's bday celebration. Icing room's macha tiramisu tasted so horrible that I felt pretty embarrassed for getting that cake for him..

12 Feb - Orchid Live Seafood

BMW had a date on this day for CNY lo hei dinner at Orchid Live Seafood.

Shopping was scheduled before the dinner, only XH can make it; the rest had something on.

As XH wanted to have their fringe trimmed at FEP, it was our 1st stop.

Saw this cutie specs & Ethan looked good in; so I bought one for him & one for myself to compliment him. Sounds like an excuse isn't it?

Anyway, he's so adorable in it!

CNY 2011

I dont enjoy my 2011 CNY becos down with bad cough!

No CNY goodies, no mood!
No no no for my fav steamboat spicy chilli! *sobs*
I have been coughing since last year!
There is recovery but shortly after I recovered, i'm infected with the cough virus again.

It has gotten so bad that my right chest hurts whenever I coughed, had a deep breath & even exert strength; thus I'm required to go for x-ray so the doctor can determine what went wrong.

The xray went well, nothing is wrong & doc concluded that I have coughed for too long & hard that I have sprained or pulled my muscles. Phew!

This yr's lo hei, all i asked for is good health for myself and loved ones. Huat ah!

Anyway, not much pictures was taken since I have no mood.

I dont know what it's called but my colleagues said it is snail.
Anyway it tasted ok but still no courage to finish all.

My Skincare Regime - 3Cs

Cleanse, Clarisonic & Care

Many are curious about about my skin, perhaps not so much of pimples. Anyway, my skin is not exceptionally good but it is not really that bad either;

To kick off, I am a very hardworking woman because I religiously adhere to the 3Cs mentioned above.

Cleanse

To thoroughly clean my face with makeup remover every night except those nights which I did not have any makeup on.

I used 2 types of makeup removers - 1 which is solely for the eye area and the other for the face.

Cotton also plays a rather important role in cleansing, I love Watson's soft facial puff which is lint-free. It is very gentle on skin as compared with those traditional cotton puffs; furthermore its highly absorbant function help me save on my skincare products. It takes only a 2-3 drops to wet it. The cost of this cotton is definitely much more expensive than the traditional but I felt that it's worthwhile.

Avene Cleansing and Makeup Remove (No rinse formula)

L'oreal's eye makeup remover is an oil-based remover which I solely used on my eye area and should not be used on my face as it would clog my pores.

Avene's makeup remover is for my face; with this no rinse formula, there's no need for me to wash my face.

Clarisonic

This is a skin care device which i use daily to double ensure the cleanliness of my face after makeup removal. According to Clarisonic, this device thoroughly removes 6x more makeup and 2x more dirt and oil than cleansing with hands alone. Removing the impurities allows better absorption of skin care products.

Personally I can feel that my skin is very clean after using Clarisonic; as if the the dirt & oil are thoroughly out from the pores. In addition, my skin looks fairer too. I LOVE it!

Anyway, I paid a premium getting this Clarisonic directly from US because it is not available in SG. Good news! If you're really interested in getting one, Sephora is carrying this product now. Well, its damage is approx. S$300+.

Care
This step refers to skin care products. It is important to get the a range of suitable skin care products to maintain your skin. In the past before I seek help from dermatologist, I always purchased products from counters such as Kose, Biotherm, Shiseido, Chanel, etc. Whenever the counter's makeup assistant introduced how great the product is, I would buy it.

LOTS OF MONEY was wasted on these products because the moment my skin has reaction with the product, it would go into my rubbish bin and frequent changing of products actually worsen my skin causing it to become sensitive thus pron to pimples.

Before application of Joyce Lim's products, I would apply Hada Labo's hydrating lotion which is rich in hyaluronic acid to lock the moisture in my face. I SUPER LOVE this product the moment I used it; I can feel its superb power in locking the moisture in my skin, making my skin feels bouncy. This feel is completely different from application of moisturiser whereby your skin feels sticky.

After Hada Labo, it would be eye cream; I use Elishacoy's Self Detox Eye cream. My under-eye area has sagged, no amount of eye cream is able to restore to its original except for procedure. However, I felt that eye cream is still a MUST to prevent it from sagging further even though I dont see any effects after application. =X

After my eye-cream, I would continue with my range of skincare products from Joyce Lim Skin & Laser Clinic

This peeling gel acts like Cure Natural Aqua Gel. I heard alot about Cure burning the skin and for me I used Lioele's Soft Peeling Gel, it is gentle on my skin. I used it once a week for removal of dead skin.

I chanced upon this device last year Apr during my 6-monthly review with my dermatologist. I seldom developed acne hence I was asked not to waste my $ because it effectively treat acne only. However, kaisu me still ended up buying with an excuse that it was meant for my bro.

I just want to have a contingency plan when i really had acne.

No reservation or waiting list is allowed for this item. The only thing that I could do was to WAIT...

However, I was told by Sephora's SA to "Like" their FB page in order to get 1st hand information on its replenishment.

Xmas Celebration @ Eling's Place

Love this year's xmas celebration.
We planned early and our theme is "Dress to kill in black"!
It is the most blasting & joyous one I ever had.
Almost all the BMW were all there to mark their attendance except Von.
The kids were having mad fun posing, opening X'mas presents, playing with Eling's toys & running about.

As we planned early, we have a few great ideas.
1) Sz's idea of getting pretty wrappers as backdrop for photo-taking
2) Sandy's idea of gift exchange by drawing lots to determine the person the gift is intended for. In order to keep everyone in suspense & preserve the mysterious feeling, i am the only person who knows the list after drawing lots.
3) Ordering of pizza early

Before going to 10's house, we played around with wigs.
Sandy looked good with bangs too!

Before 2010 comes to an end, I shall sum up my procrastinating blog posts.

Beware, it is going to be a MESSY post because i have so many things to blog on.

FOOD - I have all the below in my birthday month! So satifying!

The following restaurant is also one of my FAVOURITE - MUST GO & TRY!
For those who know me, i'm very selective when it comes to food.
There is alot of things which I dont dare to eat or even try, good example would be Osyters.
I have never tasted oysters before & pure looking at it is enough to make me nauseous.
Beef, lamb & duck is also under my "dont dare to eat" list.
Enough of beating round the bush, I had my 1st duck tasting at Seletar Hill Restaurant after much persuasion from my boss & godpa.
Their Camphor tea smoked duck is so nice ok! (From picture below, it is the one on top left hand corner)
Well, I forced myself for the 1st bite because it doesnt make me feel nauseous looking at it. For those that do, it's a NO NO NO NO!
It tasted so heavenly with its sauce, the sauce is a MUST.
Without the sauce, the dish is not complete.
Thanks to this Camphor tea smoked duck that opens up the door for me.
Still, I am very selective. I only eat duck from this restaurant and the one in Long House.

I had a fabulous and wonderful birthday this year; it is especially so because a group of Beautiful Married Women (BMW) celebrated with me. I cant live without them. LOL!

It was also my worst "jellyfish" day which almost landed me in the same scenario as Ms Octopus. I must really thank my dearest Hubby who bought me TWO flaming lamborginis on that day lo! Eh, it is super lethal ok.

This is a show about a sea turtle who was hatched in 1959 spends the next 50 years traveling the world while it is being changed by global warming. I reckon the show was pretty ok, not too boring but my 2 guys went into dreamland instead.

Before the shows commence, we dashed into the photo-taking machine (dont really know its name now, in the past i think it's called LoveGety Machine or what)to take pictures.

泰式烧烤火锅 - 赞啊

I had my 1st Thai BBQ steamboat in Hua hin (Thailand). Ever since, i'm always hoping to go back for it.

Their steamboat is different from the traditional one we had in Singapore. They uses charcoal instead of electricity. Piping hot charcoal is placed underneath the wok. The wok has a bulging hump with slits on it. Lard is placed at the top of the hump whereby the melted lard becomes oil for barbequeing of meat. I believed many of you would agree with me that BBQ meat by charcoal taste especially delicious and yummy. Coupled with the use of lard instead of butter, it's simply heavenly!

Next is their soup base, I have no idea what is being used but it just tasted so good! The soup become dense with time and the taste just get even better probably because of the melted lard that flowed in.

Oh yeah, their CHILLI is superb.. very spicy yet with a tinge of sweetness and sourness.

Having said so much, aren't you look forward to it?

Unfortunately it's not in Singapore! However, i have heard rave about this shop selling BBQ Thai steamboat in Golden Mile Complex. I've tried, it is comparable but still the one I had in Hua hin is the best!

Not very sure of the actual price because I did not pay for it.
It is approx. $50.00 for 2 pax which is inclusive of an additional plate of crabsticks.

XiaoHui brought us to another place which also sells Thai BBQ Steamboat but their variety of food is lesser. According to her hubby, it is better but I still prefers the one in Golden Mile Complex. Before i continued with this BBQ, shall side-track a bit for what was being done on the very day.

I went for "骨质矫治" at Inland Revenue Building @ Novena. He is very good though with a rather weird attitude and character. Aren't those pro always ya ya papaya?

Then i brought Ethan to Simleworks for his annual dental check-up. Together with the rest of BMW who wanted their precious to witness the whole process of dental checkup in order to "psycho" them for it. Ethan did a great job demostrating that he is such a brave boy.

The Thai BBQ Steamboat recommended by XiaoHui is located at Jalan Besar, will update the address soon. Their food variety is lesser, if you prefer to have a wide range of food, then you should go for the one in Golden Mile Complex.

Apologies for my late post on Ethan's 3rd birthday.

I seriously need to stop procrastinate; my blog posts are always outdated.

Back to the main topic, time waits for no one.
My boy is already 3 year old which also means I'm also 3 years older.. *lol*
I can still remember vividly how impatient he was, rushing to be out celebrating Deepavali with us. As early as 6 weeks! -__-

Initially, our plan for his bday was to book NSRCC's chalet, unfortunately we couldnt get it because the time frame for booking was brought forward from 3months to 6 months in advance. *so angry*

Then I wanted to book Kidz Amaze at Safra Jurong but I felt that it wasnt worth the money spent. Furthermore, the playground seems to cater for older children.

So i decided to just hold a small celebration for him in his school.

I bought an ice-cream cake from Angie the Choice and my mum whipped up delicious healthy fried bee hoon with nuggets and hotdogs. Oh ya, not to forget her yummy handmade jellies!

In the car cam-whoring while waiting for my mum to come down with the food.

His cute classmates gathering around to sing him bday song for 4 times (2 x English, 2 x Mandarin)

He couldnt wait to blow the candles, immediately after the song, he blew them off. lol

On the 6th, BMW met up at Royce Kids Gym after hearing Jonas had lots of fun there. The place looked rather small but their toys are fabulous. I love playing too, especially their slides. lol!

What's so special about Royce?

For me, I guess it's their toys, apart from being exclusive; the place is basically safe for the children. A good example would be that a big bean bag is placed in front of the slide to act as a safety pillow for the kids' landing. The only way/chance the kids would hurt themselves would be human accident - banging into each other. As they set a limit time (1 hour) for playing, the place isn't as congested with kids as other indoor playground. The likelihood of kids banging one other is lessened. Parents would feel safe with their kids playing there.

I like their layout too, the small items or toys are located at another corner which is separated from the area where the kids are likely to run about.

Other than toys, the place is pretty well-kept and clean.

How do Royce charge?
1st - Your kid got to be their member @ $50.00 for 12 months (if you have 2 kids, then it will be $100.00 and so on)

2nd - After signing up for member, you have to pay $12.00 per coupon for an hour of playing. Alternatively, you may also purchase a booklet of 10 coupons for $100.00.

3rd - Put on your socks & start playing!

Note:
One kid is accompanied by one parent only, there will be an additional charge of $5.00 for another parent.

Being member, you are allowed to bring a guest in to play @ $22.00 per kid. (If your friend doesn't wish to pay for the membership)

After playing for an hour, we went over to Gelare to have ice-cream & had a another cake-cutting session for Ethan.

Ethan is very happy to be out playing and also received generous gifts and ang pows from aunties and uncles. He woke up the next day saying "it's my birthday today!"

Year end performance for Gracefields Kindergarten was scheduled on 30 October 2010. Kids from all levels were involved; including Love N1 (the youngest class Ethan's in).

The school started training the kids 6 months before the performance. Ethan was being selected as one of the very few to be trained to give a short speech before their performance. I reckoned he is unable to concentrate and recite when the teachers wanted him to hence he was not the ultimate boy chosen.

The speech goes like this, "大家好，我是王振宇。你们知道我是什么昆虫吗？我是蝉！

There is so many words to describe how i felt that day such as surprised, touched, impressed, proud, etc. To conclude, I am overwhelmed with joy; tears were rolling in my eyes. I tried to act cool by telling hubby that i felt like crying but the fact is, I am..

I guess this is the joy of being a mother (tears of happiness) - to see her child grow; from a baby who only knows how to wail to learning how to flip, walk and talk and now being on the stage performing a simple show. I am looking forward to more!

Emotional again.. I felt so bad for scolding him everytime but that is my love for him. 打是疼，骂是爱嘛。。。妈妈很凶的。

Little Bali is a wonderful place either for relax, food, drinks, business meeting, gatherings or couples dating. Unfortunately, they are moving out of Lock Road and the last day for Bali Seafood is on 13 Dec 10.

Bali Seafood is moving to the WEST! Yay!!! Their new location is somewhere between Jurong East Ave 1 and Jurong West Ave 1; inside a ex-education premise which was converted to student hostel. Forgot to copy their new address.. "aiyo, so embarassing"

I don't know if anyone would agree with me but to me, the hardest place to shed fats is not the tummy but the face! Disregard all the procedures, the face will only slim down when the overall fats are brought to the minimal through exercise or dieting.

Knowing that she will perspire when she put it on, I am so eager to try it too. Immediately, i placed my orders for them!

The very night i received the products, I quickly removed all my makeup & put Yufit V-line on! I felt hot a minute later, heat is generated from the mask along my jawline. After 15 minutes after, i felt itchy and was very worried.

NOTE: Please do not get frightened or alarmed by the itch you experienced on your 1st attempt. It is normal for 1st-timer.

I took it off to let my skin calmed down & put it back when the itch ceased. This time round, the itch is bearable.

Day 2

D-up Wonder Eyelid Tape - 0.09mm ultra-thin transparent eyelid tape
There are days when my eyelids are not balanced, I would make use of eyelid tape. The one i got from Sasa was quite thick and it is obvious when the eyes blinked. This ultra-thin tape acts like a double sided tape; forming the line even when the eye is closed. Looks natural as the tape is hidden in the line. Being an amateur in using this tape for the 1st time, pardon me for not doing it nicely, the tail of the tape can still be seen in the below pics. *bleah*

I saw her again after so long and were sitting at the same table over a wedding.

I saw her back view from far and was wishing that we won't be seated in the same table to prevent us from feeling awkward. But we did.

Before sitting down, our eyes caught each other and I said "hello" to her with a smile but she returned with a nonchalant one.

I felt stupid for taking the initiative.

However, this time when I saw her again, my feeling isn't the same as 3 yrs ago. I was hoping to strike a conversation with her but she doesn't seem to be on the same frequency as me.

Anyway, I think my unhappiness with her has dissipated with time.

I wish her all the best in her future endeavor.

I brought Ethan to join Amabel doing craftworks with Mister Maker. Mister Maker is the ultimate children's arts and crafts show which teaches and entertains in fun and imaginative ways. Children love joining in with Mister Maker on CBeebies and online.

He makes art from everything surrounding him, making use of raw or recycled items to create art. Look at the Ethan's hairband below, do you think it is inspired by E.T? LOL!

As mid-autum festive is nearing, with the mould & left-over ingredients; Sz suggested mooncake making session followed by steamboat. Fearing the left-over ingredients might not be sufficient, the girls purchased more from Phoon Huat at Clementi.

Phoon Huat conduct baking classes and is a wholesaler supplying a range of baking ingredients and utensils. Looking for pastries baking receipes? You can find receipes created by their Master Pastry Chef, Mr Ong Kim Soon in their websites.

To avoid wasting time, after the dough has been put into the fridge. We made use of the 15 mins to prepare the steamboat. Cut & marinate meat, peel off plastic from crabstick, cut luncheon meat, etc.

Fresh seafood, yummy local delights, many Tom Cruise & Brad Pitt look-alike ang mohs to ogle, beautiful beach and pool!

Aiyo.. reminiscing makes me crave for the food.. *drools*

20 Aug 10 - Check in our Hard Rock Hotel Room - Reggae 2120

When we reached Bali, it was dinner time. Hubby did his homework before coming to Bali and we had our 1st Bali dinner at Tj's Mexican Restaurant. The food style resembles Chili's which has an outlet in Tanglin Mall and outside Universal Studio. I dont eat beef but hubby commented that their sirloin tasted like "char siew" without a definite "nice" or "not nice" answer. For me, I had Tacos chicken. Tortillas wrapped with shredded chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise and yellow rice and not forgetting their Tj's special sauce! I guessed mine was better than his as he decided to help me finish the other half.

Our dinner costed Rupiah$239k which is approx. SGD$ 36.77.

Vain me forced Hubby to take pictures with me! ;P

21 Aug 10 - Well, it feels so good to be still in bed at 11am, finally i get to have more than 10 hours of beauty sleep! Sufficient sleep = happy me! Following the list, we set out to Kunti Japanese Restaurant for lunch. At the main lobby, hubby asked for a "Blue Bird" Taxi. According to him, "Blue Bird" Taxi is the safest in Indonesia as they charged according to meter and their drivers are chosen based on certain criterias such as attitude, free from criminal records, etc.

The restaurant was small with bad ventilation but surprisingly their food tasted ok and their sashimi was quite fresh. Thereafter, we shopped around Kuta and got myself a flowery dress that cost $400k! It was priced on the high side but i like it alot so hubby asked me to get it. That was all i bought, hubby advised me not to buy from shops with those "Bintang" t-shirts as they are of lower quality. What he said does make sense, the clothes might colour-stained and affect the rest.

We headed back to hotel as time is nearing for spa. While deciding whether to walk or cab back, we saw this old uncle again, the same one we saw while shopping so we hop on his horse carriage for $20,000. His horse looked like cow! LOL! One of the prettiest on the street.

These horse carriages were parked along the road at night, poor horses..

On the very same night, I understand why everyone is going for "Blue Bird" Taxi. Sandy & Mark was about to head back to their hotel after Sky Garden. From far, they hailed for a taxi which resembled "Blue Bird" ; unfortunately the cab not a Blue Bird taxi (alot of taxis there mimic Blue Bird logo) and Mark apologised for not taking his car. "Sori sori fok u!" was the reply of that driver.

22 Aug 10 - Nirwana Golf Course

My 2nd time to play in the green, eagered to see the result of my secret training.

"I hope tomorrow would be a "going-to-rain day" i told hubby on the day before because the weather is so hot & i feared getting tanned..

It started to drizzle after our breakfast..

During the 45-min journey from Hard Rock to Nirwana Golf Course; the rain did not stop. Looking at the weather, hubby looked demoralised as this kind of rain can go on for the whole day.

Alighting at their main lobby, we already saw many golfers sipping their drinks at the cafe waiting for the rain to cease. The weather forecast for Sunday and the following day was thunder-storm. If we postpone the game to the following day, we might be facing the same situation. There shall be no refund if we are allowed to on green to play.

SO...

I did not play well for the 1st few holes as i was equally excited and nervous. I wasn't focus and STARE at the ball thus topping the ball all the way. As usual, my driver sucks! I lost 2 balls at Hole 1. Wahahahahaha! For those Par 3 holes, hubby asked me to tee-off with No. 7.

As i am more relaxed, i played better! :)

My lunch! This humongous burger was delicious!

It was comical how things turned out when we seeked recommendation for good massage from the guy who arranged golf for us. He actually brought us to one traditional massage centre which gave us the feeling that they provide more than just massages.

That centre was dimly lighted where all massage girls in sight including the receptionist had heavy make-up! We saw 2 individual "dirty old man" looking guys walking out to make payment while the receptionist showed us how their "Deluxe" room looked like. It was a small dark room about the size of a bathroom where it looked really eerie as we peeped from outside. Seeing the men going out to make payment, the receptionist immediately casted us behind & went out to entertain them.

What poor service!

Hubby quickly pulled me out of the place & spotted another massage centre down the road. As we entered the centre, it has the same feeling as the 1st. As we walked out, one lady was chasing us saying that "we provide massage only!" LOL!

Hubby requested the guy for another spa or send us back to hotel. He brought us to another massage centre catered for the Koreans. The place looked pretty decent and clean but their charges is rather high - USD 70 for 2 pax for 2 hours.

Next, we cabbed down to Jimbaran for seafood with Sandy & Mark.

When we reached, the sun has set. Too bad, we missed the beautiful scenery.

We waited super long for the seafood, so hungry that we digged in without any pictures taken. Their seafood is super fresh especially its grilled fish and lobster! The 1st time chewing lobster without having painful jaws. The lobster meat is like prawn, easy to chew and swallow. The fish meat is lagi best, if my brothers caught me eating fish, they will fight for the fish because they know I cannot tolerate fish stench even the very mild ones are easily spotted by me.

I had almost 50% of the fish as it was the nearest to me and quietly i scooped portion by portion. LOL!

We went back after dinner.

23 Aug 10 - Last day in Bali, Flight Departure at 7.55pm

We went out for lunch at Poppies Restaurant - had my 1st and most delicious rice table there. LOL! I love their satay. For my close friends, they know I dont take satay as i have developed a phobia towards it after over-eating it.

Trust me, their satay was heavenly. It tasted different from the traditional ones. The meat is skewered on lemongrass. Oh.. craving for it.

As we still have lots of time after lunch, we decide to rent a cabana at the pool deck using the 20% discount coupon so i can relax and hubby can sun-tan and swim!

At the airport, our flight was delayed for 2 hours & we got upgraded to Business Class. Our 1st time on board Business Class & as the clock strike 12, Hubby had his bday celebrated on KLM's business class. What a memorable birthday!

We were back to the 90s! Meeting up at our usual spot - Jurong East Mrt's last cabin but leaving out the pointed combs, long wallet, pulled-up socks, short skirt, x-bra & curry pok hair!

We had our lunch @ Coca Steamboat. I could not apprehend why is there no crabsticks for their buffet lunch! Crabsticks are cheap eh! That's sz & mine favourite... our tummy ended up with lots of wantons as replacements. Frankly, variety of food is so-so and it exclude all the side dishes.

We had Haagen Dazs Ice-cream before proceeding to Far East Plaza (FEP).

We bought a "Coco Chanel Style" jacket, a piece for almost everyone. Huihui had a change for new outfit while Xiaohui n Von had a makeover! Hee!

For dinner, we had FEP's Pontian Noodles at Level 1... luckily we did not had Sushi Tei! You'll know why soon!

Two primary school boys were spotted at the side of road leading to the public carpark, one chinese and one malay. I was about to turn in but I braked; following my instinct that they might dash out. Indeed, the Malay boy made his way out proudly after shaking off his friend's grip.

I took a glance of him and he shouted at me "NOT HAPPY AH!"

I could hear it loud n clear with my windows up. This chap wasn't glad that he had escaped a tragedy instead he felt threatened by my glance? I could only think of the word "threatened" to describe his actions.

He does not value his life at all.

It is very important to educate road safety to drivers; aren't it important to do so to the young?

Apart from the possibility of losing his life, he is causing trouble to the poor driver too.

The whole of Singapore is raining cats and dogs at ard 2ish in the noon.

I was astonished by the traffic congestion in Tagore Area, with cars doing a U-turn at the junction turning out to Upp Thomson Rd. From far, i could see the main road flooded with unmovable cars - probably the cause of cars U-turning.

I was stuck inside Tagore for nearly 20 minutes. -___-

The massive jam in Tagore was caused by fallen tree along Upp Thomson Road towards Sembawang Road, vehicles are directed into Tagore to make a detour out.

My destination is Woodlands and with that huge tree covering 3 lanes, there was no passing and the other alternative to SLE (BKE) is via Yio Chu Kang Rd. Turning left from Upp Thomson Rd to YCK Rd, i witnessed a tragedy on the other side of the road.

Unfortunately, underneath the tree laid a black mitsubishi colt with smashed windscreen and front seats. Reporters are mingling around the scenes with cameras overhanging their neck. 20 metres away from the car, i spotted a blue tent surrounded by a couple of policemen.

My understanding was the driver might not survive if blue tent was spotted.

How fragile life can be... however I still hope the driver can survive this ordeal.

Was uploading the pictures to my computer, amid the folders from Nov 07 to Jun 10, there is a folder with hundreds of photos which are yet to be blogged. Lesser blogging since the debut of LeCris but I can assure you this post would cover most of the missing pieces.

During this hiatus, i was holidaying in Hong Kong Disneyland & Taipei, attending Ethan's cookie baking session and also enjoying BMW gatherings.

2 holiday trips was planned during this month, one by myself and the other by hubby. Though I had been HK before but this is my 1st time there with Ethan.

2nd Week of Apr - Taipei
My 1st Girls' Overseas Trip! Together with Sandy & Sam; we EAT, SHOP and PARTY!

It was approx. dinner time when we touched down at Taipei airport, we quickly made our way to buy bus tickets to send us to Grand Hyatt Hotel (君悦饭店）for check-in before proceeding to eat. While waiting for the bus to come, I noticed something funny, one of the bus service provider is called 飞狗 (flying dog?).

We were SUPER HUNGRY when we reached the hotel 90 mins later. We did not expect the journey to be long because the distance on the map looked short! How deceiving.. Anyway, it was drizzling that night with temperature at 15 degrees celsius. Woooo.. outdoor air-conditioning! SHIOKIE!

After dinner, we shopped for boots cause our toes were freezing. Tadah!

The following day, we had our lunch at Momoya inside Taipei 101 which is approx. 5 mins walk away from our hotel. The food is so-so, typical Japanese food.

Thereafter, we took a cab to 顶好名店城 for fake lashes. According to Sandy, that shop was frequently patronised by her ex-colleagues for fake lashes. However, the price per box was not as cheap BUT we still get it.

Next, we went over to SOGO to purchase my current loves - Jill Stuart Cosmetics (available in Taiwan & HK now, previously in Japan only). Their bling bling princess-like packaging and the superb quality products made me spent over SGD500.00.

Acquiring my loves, gave us an opportunity to take pictures with 贺军翔! Right buy at the right place at the right time because there is a photo-shooting session with him with purchase of Jill Stuart products! Lucky us, we are the last 3 to take pictures with him!

A maze-like shopping place - advise from Sandy "grab it if you like because you might not be able to find that shop again". We got there around dinner time and satisfied our hunger with their street-snacks - 甜不辣, Oyster Mee Sua, Peanut butter Chocolate Crepe, 炸鸡排, fresh sweet orange juice. *drools*

五分铺 is a conglomeration of fashion retailers - all sorts of clothings, accessories, shoes, etc. for kids, man and woman. We just walked along the streets glancing through their display and walked in if any catches our eyes. We walked passed this bling bling shop selling bling bling tops from Korea @ approx. TWD350 to 450 each.

I realised that in SG, we are such a "fine" country and bins are everywhere but in TW; no bin was in sight and we had to trouble the retailers to throw for us. They might be thinking "just throw anywhere".

As usual, time always over-run. It was past midnight when we realised the shops were closing. We made our way out to the main road for cabby.

Our cab driver was very friendly and funny man, throughout the journey, he was introducing us places we passed by. Before reaching hotel, we passed by a conglomeration of night spots which i named it "New york" (simply because the wordings are huge). Taxi uncle asked us to go there for a drink, spending TWD300 and get ourselves a boyfriend jokingly if we are not tired. He said "可以来这里花三百块交一个男朋友哦".

After dumping our bags, we decided to go over and checked out that place since it was so near to our hotel. The hotel reception asked us to walk over instead of taking a cab for such a short distance. We walked for 10 mins in our heels on the quiet street; taking deep breath of the foreign cold air as we walked.

Approx. 200m away, long queues outside the club/pubs and Taiwanese babes were spotted! So the babes are out during the night, no wonder there was not much in the day. All dressed to the nine! We recee the place and decided to queue for Room 18 (recommended by Hubby). We could not go in because blur me did not bring along my passport, leaving it in the safebox. Demoralised us went next door - In-house for a drink instead.

Saturday was sight-seeing & hot spring day, travelled all the way to Danshui - journey took approx. 1-2 hours from our nearest Taipei City Hall train station.

We eat & shop again! Loves Taiwan's fresh orange juice - sweet & refreshing! Not forgetting the crispy fried mushroom (盐酥菇）, Spongebob 脆皮鸡蛋糕, 炸榴莲, 炸鸡块... 芋头酥 which I bought back for Ting is super delicious too; it melts in the mouth not on the hand!

The adventurous us decided to take a bus to Beitou for Hot Springs - virgin bus trip overseas. Feeling lost, we approached a middle-aged woman for directional help to hot springs. After explaining the 2 types of Hot Springs, she recommended a few famous ones to us. She even wanted to lead us there!

2 Types of Hot Springs - Public and Room Type
As the name mentioned, the hot springs is shared by the public. Yes, very competitive price so we decided to go for it. We paid for the entrance of TWD100 per pax to realise that we have to strip naked, wrapped by a piece of towel and soaked ourselves in the spring water with dozens of strangers AND NO BIKINIS ALLOWED underneath! Looking at the strangers in the pool and the thought of soaking with them; i almost wanted to faint. We had a short discussion because payment will not be refunded but i insisted on having privacy; no way am i going to soak in the hot springs with a bunch strangers.

We walked further down to a hot springs hotel and requested for a room for 3. Costing TWD350 each but we have more privacy and cleanliness. We filled 70% of the tub with hot spring water mixed with 15% of cold water because the water is too HOT! Slowly sit in with my feet entering the water, i could feel thousands of tiny pins poking.

I believed the hot spring water helps to improve blood circulation because my skin turned pinkish-red after soaking. Perhaps the improved blood circulation improved my digestive system and the urge to do big business came knocking. No choice, that marked the end of my hot springs enjoyment.

I am always hearing people commenting how friendly Taiwanese are; I am thrilled to experience it myself. The 1st was the funny taxi uncle, the sales girls in SOGO who served us, the above middle-aged woman, the university student who came up to strike a conversation with us on the train and Camille's group of friends. I believed their culture would not work in Singapore, people may think he/she is mad or up to no good.

After the refreshing soak, we met up with Camille and her group of friends at 西门町 for dinner at a local Thai Restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and fun! It was Camille who pointed out to me then i realised one of them is Stella Ng, ex-singapore singer. So pretty in real life! They migrated to Taiwan to open cake shop. Their cakes taste so heavenly! They brought along 3 different flavours for all to share (Strawberry, banana and Hazelnut flavour). Am craving for it, perhaps a cake from The Patissier would satisfy my crave.

We took a cab back to hotel with Camille and Wan zi (cute name) to dump our stuffs and also changed into our party clothes. The 2 girls watched tv while the 3 of us touch-up our makeup. When we are about to be ready, they started touching up their makeup and perming their hair. Instead of 15 mins touch-up, it ended with one hour. Haha!

The most happening club in Taipei - Sparks Sound familiar? We had one in SG in the 90s, on L7 Takashimaya?

Believed it or not, we partied for 2 nights till 5am! I fixed an appointment for hair cut on my last day stay. Slept for 3 hours, i rushed off to the salon. Tadah, my new hair cut! It real SHORT, at least 8 inch of hair being snapped off.

3rd Week of Apr - Ethan's Cookie Baking Session
I was invited to Ethan's school to witness his very 1st cookie baking session by the school teacher. Ethan is completely unaware of my attendance and was very happy to see me appearing.

I have a confession to make!

I'm in love with CHANEL..

Equal parts from peer influence and equal parts for looking good. I was 1st introduced to Chanel by my girlfriends a few years back. During that time, I simply couldnt not apprehend the rave about their bags because the impression of it is "auntie". Or the reason behind my confession is - becoming auntie? LOL!

My new love ignited after owning a Chanel Bag in 2009, a Lambskin Classic Flap - Medium with silver hardware. This "auntie" bag amazed me with its ability to match most my clothings from my casual jean/shorts wear to my working suit. Psychologically, it also boost my confidence.

My 1st Chanel bag was bought not to my liking but for the sake of owning one after being brain-washed by Sandy. She is a Chanel-guru; she shared with me how to differentiate Chanel classic bags.

We could no longer sustain the high running cost and low revenue.Resources depleted, running out of marketing ideas, lacking of luck, insufficient data collected, poor management, etc. contributed to the closing.

Tiger roars! Happy Chinese New Year to everyone! Huat ah!!!

I wonder if you guys are feeling like me..

3-4 years back, i really look forward to CNY because of holidays, receiving ang pows & ability to GAMBLE legally! LOL! Now, i DONT because i'm giving ang pows instead of receiving and fewer people/friends are getting together to gamble.

However, i still enjoy having steamboat lunch/dinner together with my family & relatives. Very reluctantly but i have to admit that i am old and i am already in the next phase of life since the birth of Ethan. Taking a step back, i could see myself entering my aunties' phase of life while they are proceeding to my mum's and of course, my mum's at granny's phase.

My younger cousins/aunties/brothers are growing up from toddler to teenagers and from teens to youngster, pretty, handsome and energetic! Some even taller than myself... (Hey, i know what u're thinking, i very short.. anyone can easily be taller than me!) *bish*

We went ION Orchard last friday night.

It was a fruitful one for all of us except Amabel. I got myself a pair G-Star jeans and a GG>5 top while Ethan had a pair of blue flip flop and an elephant white top. Eling also got herself a G-Star jeans & white top and 2 GG>5 tops.

After all the shops closed, we went to have our supper at Hong Kong Cafe. I gave Ethan's slippers to Amabel when he refused to wear them. Upon seeing Amabel wearing his shoes, he wanted to get it back from her. (p.s. they wear almost the same size of shoes) I couldnt stop laughing when Ethan is opening his hands wide asking Amabel to return him the slippers while Amabel freigning ignorance.

The slippers dropped to the floor because it was quite loose on Amabel's feet which is why eling did not get it for her. Ethan quickly asked me to picked up for him to wear. Hubby came to have his dinner after the night golf.

On our way to carpark, Amabel sobs Jnl was carrying her. She cried because she got nothing.

I love the pair of jeans i bought, currently wearing it! Wahahahaa! Finally, i found a pair of jeans which could enhance the look of my legs by making it look slimmer! Now, I understand why eling & jnl is so hooked to this brand despite the steep price simply because it's worth it!

I had my eyes on another pair of jeans too but it's so much more expensive than the one i got, perhaps next time for CNY clothes? LOL!

Updates on Ethan

I felt so bad about sending Ethan to child care and leave him there with the teachers without staying throughout the day with him. The teacher asked me to leave him there and ignore his cries because it is normal - separation anxiety. After crying for 1 week or the most 2 weeks, he'll settle in with the rest of the kids.

The school advised me not to stay as it will be harder for him to adapt to the school but they did mention that I can stay with him throughout the day for a maximum of 3 days. I should have stayed with him throughout for 3 days but I DID NOT.. not even on the 1st day! I actually went back to tend my shop after staying a a couple of hours because i'm afraid my mum could not handle. The teacher ask me to disappear when he's not noticing me.

I dont know why i can just leave him there the whole day without going back to see if he's ok, probably because he's so independent when he's in Julia Gabriel. I thought he could adapt faster than other kids.

Anyway, very sad.. i have been blaming myself since then. I stopped him from school after 3 days and requested my mum to stay at home to look after him. I stopped him from going to school due to frequent waking up in the night crying (more than 10 times). Many told me he's frightened by the new environment and being there on his own without company. Actually i tried imaging myself to be him, suddenly mummy disappear without telling him for one full day. It must be awful for him so i stopped him from school so that he can forget the bad experience before sending him to another child care.

The next time i try to put him into child care, i'll take 1 week leave to accompany him; slowly cutting short the no. of hours i can be with him.

Stop talking about the above, Ethan can actually read alphabets! He can read all the alphabets randomly picked and in sequence. However, he's not as good with numbers. He always have problem with the number 7.

He can speak sentences too, though pronounciation is not very accurate but somehow can understand. e.g.:"po po, open the door!", "mama, wear shoes", "ah po pao neh neh"

He can eat on his own after 3 days in childcare and also bringing bowls to basin after eating.

On 3 Oct 09 to 6 Oct 09 - family trip to Genting to meet up with Eling.
All the kids had a lot of fun there!
Ethan would run around on his own; pointing to rides mumbling words which we couldnt apprehend except "car".
It's nightmare when it comes to bringing Ethan back to hotel..
Somehow he seems to know that we're going back to hotel & he'll run away from us in opp direction!

The bride's so pretty! It was great being one of her sisters to "tekan" her hubby & his gang, all of us had alot of fun!
They are quite steady & funny especially during the whipped cream & banana dishes.

Dr Sau was recommended by my friend for consultation for "Temporomandibular Disorders" when i suspected myself to be having it.

Symptons are frequent headaches, stiff neck and shoulders, overbite, pain in jaws joints, etc.

It is normally caused by teeth grinding.

Thumbs up for him! He helped to correct my bite so i can eat burgers with no worries! Wahahahaa! With the correction of bite, the stress on my last 2 molars (which were previously the only teeth used for chewing) is spreaded among the molars and pre-molars.

Thanks to him, I'm able to sleep through the night w/o waking at 2-hours interval.

Highly recommended if you're looking for a good dentist with reasonable charges!

Ethan is talking, though at times there's a mixture of baby language but he's able to COMMUNICATE with me!

Whenever he wants to come down while being carried, he'll point to the ground & says "down down".

Whenever we're at the lift and lift lobby, he'll point to the lift button(s) and says "press".

Whenever he wishes to open the door, he'll point to the door and says "blah blah door".

Whenever we change diapers for him, putting my skincare products or having a mosquito bite, he'll ask us for "gao gao" (cream).

Whenever he wants to draw, he'll come to me and says "pen".

With the colour pencils, he is able to write an ugly "T", "U" and "1" whenever we asked him to and he'll say out the letter or number after writing it. So proud of him!

He's also able to continue saying the subsequent alphabets or numbers whenever he heard us saying. E.g: When i said "A", he'll follow with "B" then when i continued with "C", he'll be saying "D"; same goes for numbers. BUT he'll only respond twice, after that he bo chup and walk off! Sibeh ya ya!

We have a alphabet chart @ home. Ethan is able to read the alphabets continuoulsy starting from "O" to "U". Wahahahaa! The rest occasionally depending on his mood.

He is super touchy, if he gets hold of mine or hubby's wallet, he take out everything!

I can still rem he loves taking our handphones and talking with it but now, he brings the phone to us saying "phone" & pass it to us. CUTE!

When he sees me dance, he'll dance and turn round round till he sehz. Waahahahaha!

My Hidden Pain

I was asked to read a story in Hui's blog.

It's a story about Mr Chia & his son Little Chia.

Mr Chia tied his son Lil Chia's hands to a tree out of anger for scratching his car even though Lil Chia's intention is to help me wash the car.
As a result, Lil Chia's hands were amputated after being tied for too long.
In the end, due to the guilt he had for his son; Mr Chia killed himself.

After reading the story, i felt Mr Chia is so irresponsible to end his life after causing his son to be handicapped.
He should be responsible for what he did to his son.

It does come to my mind that i should not resort to caning/beating Ethan when he misbehaves.

However, it's not easy for me
because i dont have a good temper
and i felt that certain amount of caning/beating is necessary
to help my child understand my intention
when words are unable to get into his head

Everytime i cane/beat Ethan,
i was overwhelmed with sadness and pain.
When he's ard 14 mths old;
i caned him till he stopped crying.

Now i seldom put the cane into action
unless he's really in the wrong
such as throwing things on the floor or at me or at anyone
where i caned him once on his hands
following with explanation why I caned him.
I'm not sure if he understands my explanation;
hopefully he does.

I hurt as much as he experienced from the cane;
whereby his is physically and mine is mentally.

People telling me caning/beating my son will make him turn violent in future
I'm not sure how true it is
perhaps it's a case to case situation
but from what i know
my mum used caned me and my bros when we're young
We did not grow up to be violent persons

I believed parents out there who cane/beat their kids to discipline them share my pain

After saying so much,
i have a story to share - it's a true real life story of me, lil KBK.

It happened during my primary school times
Being a class monitoress,
my duty was to keep the class quiet
by writing names of those who talked or misbehaved on the chalkboard
FYI, i seldom write names la and even if i do also the boys'

I have a pair of twin sisters who also happened to be my neighbour as classmates

One day, when i was back from school
my mum was holding the cane
and was angrily questioning me
about writing names of the twin sisters on the chalkboard
whereby they ended up getting punished by Mrs Cheng to stand outside the class.
Because of the long standing;
their legs were swollen and painful!

In such senario, i'm flooded with tears;
kneeling and pleading my mum not to cane me

I really love my mum
She didnt cane me and believed me instead (she normally listens to others)
She went to confront the twins' mother
and went to pay Mrs Cheng a visit to clarify the whole incident the following day
Mrs Cheng returned me my innocence

After the clarification, the twins' mother just walked off with her 2 precious daughters.

Back home, my mum told me that she is very glad that
she chose to trust her 6th sense not to cane me
and not listen to others before clarification
She even described to me how the pitiful the twins' cries were
when their mum brought them down to our house to complain.
She is also pissed off with their mother for not teaching her children not to tell lies
and kept a distance from her

Since young, my mum taught me & bro not to tell lies through caning us
whenever we does so
except for my youngest bro
who was protected by my dad for being the youngest

I strongly believed a small amount of caning/beating does help in discipling a child.

Ethan's Playgroup

Oops, cobwebs are accumulating! Sorry for the lack of updates. I was busy with FB's games such as Farm Town and Restaurant City. Ha ha ha!

Gonna update something exciting, which is Ethan's 1st day in his playgroup class @ Julia Gabriel on 5 Jul 09.

On our way to Forum!

Kiasu me made Hubby to send us there early and after taking lunch we went Toys r us for a walk to find the car car which Ethan LOVES! The moment he saw it, he want to sit inside and doesnt want to come out. As the time is up for class, i have to pull him out and as expected he CRIED!

Seeing that Ethan loves the car car so much, Hubby decided to get it but it was out of stock and the nearest place to get it was Suntec so we went there after the class.

I was still worrying about Ethan's adaptability in class but it seems that i'm worrying too much becos he simply treat me as an invisible person! He can walk & run around the class without looking out for me! =_=

During the class, i observed that Ethan likes to stand in front of the teacher when he's teaching and stared at him with a blur face! There's one mummy who keep laughing and telling me he's so cute whenever he chiong to stand in front!

I'm actually looking forward to sending Ethan to Julia Gabriel in July, i wonder what will he learn there though it's only a weekend playgroup. Hopefully i bring camera in to take pictures of him.

Oh yes, the durian puffs from Goodwood Park was fantastic not only the taste but the price as well.

20 pcs for $39.80 = approx. $2.00 per piece and it's only the height of my finger and a circumference of a 50cents coin, hmm.. on 2nd thought, probably slightly bigger than a 50 cents coin. Anyway, it's expensive lo but on the other hand, it's worth for money!

Lastly, I want to COMPLAIN!

Maid Issues

Termination of Services

When you no longer require your Foreign Domestic Worker's (FDW's) services, you should ensure that all issues arising from her employment (i.e. outstanding wages, compensation claims) have been settled with the FDW before cancelling the Work Permit.

You should give your FDW reasonable notice of her repatriation. You should repatriate your FDW to her town or place of origin within her home country when her Work Permit/Visit Pass expires or is cancelled or revoked, unless she is transferred to another employer.

You should also bear the full cost of repatriation and ensure that all outstanding salaries or monies due to the FDW have been paid before her repatriation.

I seriously dunno why i am so SUAY!

Just when i felt that i had finally engaged a rather "ok" maid who doesn't give me headaches (after Rupiah & the unsuccessfully medical check ups of the maid i have chosen those the different agencies), i'm once again enshrounded by maid problematic issues again.

Trimah is my current maid, transferred from an indian couple whose going back to India for good.

My standard/expectation is not high so i'm ok with her.

Who knows, she came to tell me she wanted to go back Indonesia because she's worried for her sons & also tell me she cannot work anymore because her hands ached.

She told me she'll work till her loan is cleared which is end of June 09. Though i felt tat it's unfair of me to pay for her air ticket back home since i'm not the one who doesn't want her nor had she fulfilled her 2-years contract but still i've told her i'll pay for her air ticket & send her home in June.

Seems like everything has been solved?

Mummy called me earlier & told me Trimah wanted to talk to the agent. When i talk to her on the phone, she mentioned something abt her body cannot work and something abt her heart but she's unable to express herself.

So I got the agency to call home to talk to her.

Aiyah, very angry la!

After calling MOM, i'm pissed off.

They have this regulations that all employers is responsible to pay for the fees to repatriate their maid back to their country irregardless of how long they worked for you.

Oh please, does this clause protect the employer?

It's simply so unfair for my case; Trimah had worked ard 3 months for me & i have to pay for the air tickets to send her back. What if i'm so heng that throughout the 24 months, the maid i've chosen decides to go back home after a few months?

I seek solution from the MOM officer.

To my surprise, i was told by the Officer, Mr Rizal that i have to follow the regulation & could only feedback via in writing to the Work Pass Division on the unfairness. He also added that there are alot similar cases.

Although i'm not the government, a suggestion to amend that regulation - Employer shall pay for the fees to repatriate their maid back to their country only after they have fulfilled the 2 years contract.

Anyway, i have decided not to engage maid le.

Ethan is more sensible now and is able to communicate a little with us.

Shall wait & see how.

Science Centre & Playground @ Big Splash

18 April 09 - Science Centre

It was a super hot day & if i did not remember wrongly; it's the weekend where the temperature hit 36 degrees celsius.

Hence we decided to go out than to stay at home cos there's no air-con. LOL!

I thought of Science Centre but hubby suggested to go Jurong Bird Park because Ethan's too young to understand the displays/facts/shows of the science centre. On our way there, he changed his mind cos the weather is really scorching hot + i'm afraid to get tanned!

So off we went to Singapore Science Centre

Anyway, we took some pictures; their outdoor play area (with water) is very nice.

Ethan, Aisleyne, Jonas, Dalton, Kayson & Kaylene had a joyous late afternoon playing in the playclub.

Does anyone out there knows the 5 basic needs of man & woman?

I was told that it was statistically proven through divorce cases in US.

With the following basic needs, married couples can maintain their relationships better; hence lowering divorce cases.

Woman's 5 basic needs from her husband

Affection - he must show affection to her (eg: hug her, tell her he love her)
Honesty - he must be honest
She forgotten
Financial Support - He must be able to support her even if she's not working (though it dont really apply to all)
Conversation - heart to heart talk / talk on any topic cos woman loves talking

Man's 5 basic needs from his wife

Sex
Recreational Partner - he would love his wife to accompany him in his recreational activities (eg: he loves golf, he would want his wife to know how to play if not accompany him with the game)
She forgotten
Beautiful wife - something to do with his ego, anyway who doesnt wish to have a beautiful wife?
Compliments - Praises from their wife (eg: not to say them ugly/fat or any other hurtful words even as a joke; deep inside, those words do hurt..)

Apart from the above 5 basic needs, she also mentioned about love bank.

What's love bank?

In general, everyone has a love bank whereby all the transactions are in love units instead of money.

For the singles,

Their love bank has more than 1 love accounts whereby the opp sex who are interested in them will either deposit/withdraw love units from the account.

When someone did something you dislike, it will automatically withdraw its love units in your account & vice versa.

For married couples,

Their love bank has only 1 love account which belongs to their spouse. The above 5 basic needs would help the couple to deposit love units to their account.

However, in cases where the love units in the account becomes low, it gives another opp sex an apportunity to open an account in the bank to deposit love units. When the love units of the new comer overtakes the spouse's, it normally would result in extra martial issues or divorce cases.

Nowadays, kids are really intelligent.

The story goes like this:
This morning, Ethan spotted a lizard outside the window when he was happily touching the area there.

He quickly ran to hug his 婆婆with "wanna-cry" look, pouting, pointing towards the window complaining "kar kar". He also pat his chest to tell us he's afraid and hug on to us like a koala bear. Very cute!

He learnt the word "kar kar" from his 婆婆 and she only mentioned it once when she saw one in the kitchen & trying to let Ethan know what's that.

My mommy is afraid of lizards, i'm afraid of it and now even my son's also! (All piglets afraid of lizards?) LOL!

Ok, i know it's been quite some time since i last blog.

Am busy chasing 溏心风暴2之家好月圆 and sending out the orders for the bags.

Brought Ethan to Keida's 1st birthday on 14 Feb 09.

Brought Ethan to Bt Panjang Plaza for dinner, he simply SOT tio the 50 cents music car. He doesn't want to get out, the moment i carried him out... he CRY! Scary sia.. why all children like tat thing!

While Ethan was screaming and crying, the kid on the next music car did the same when his parents carried him away. Gosh! Should have listened to mum & not let him try for the 1st time. I guessed the next time he sees the music car, he'll scream & cry for it.

I took a video of him in it, shall upload when i'm free.

Finally had the chance to meet up with Kairis on 28 March 09, she's so tall and pretty! Chio mummy with a super cute son. I buey tahan Dalton's pattern, so cheeky. Look at the below pictures, i heard Ethan called Dalton "kor kor" for the 1st time! Ethan had so much fun playing with Dalton that day.

Ethan dislikes wearing cap,
everytime we try to put one on him;
he'll shove it immediately so I don't buy cap for him
The 1st time he saw me wearing a cap,
he gua gua jiao asking for it.
After wearing it,
he'll mimic me by smiling widely and say "waaaaahhhh"!
I quickly snapped before he took off the cap!

Since he doesn't really hate cap that much,

Busy Saturday!

Ethan & me had a great time last Saturday; went out till 12+am..

He was so tired that he did not even wanna move nor wake up when i helped him changed into his pyjamas.

Arranged to meet up with Eling & Maggie before sending Hubby to airport.

Kaylene & Ethan are so FUNNY when we are having our meals at MOS Burger.

The 2 cheeky toddlers are making fun of each other!
Kaylene tried to feed Ethan with the french fries she had and before it arrived into his mouth; she pulled back giving a cheeky smile.
Waahhahha, Ethan did the same thing later.
Kaylene also tried to trade her fries for Ethan's rice burger, so clever!
My cheeky boy is having so much fun with her!

Eling brought only Amabel while Aisleyne is at home and Mummy Maggie brought BOTH without maid. Pro!
Kayson kept mistaking me as Auntie Sz, kept asking me about the thing he gave her when they were at Plaza Singapura.
He's really one talkative boy who talks like an adult!
He dotes Ethan like his little bro, kept calling him "didi" & shared his toy with him & sayang his head like a big bro. Hee!

As we are tied with children, it's rather inconvenient for us to move around.
Hence i suggested to go ktv after sending hubby to airport so that our kids can run around and we can chit chat while listening to music.

I suggested the above because i'm meeting the staridols there at 10pm.
After the ktv sessions with both pretty mummies, me & ethan continued our ktv marathon till ard 12 as Ethan is sooooo tired.
We had so much fun camwhoring in the room!
Oh, i missed them so much!
The last time the whole lot of us went out together was before i'm preg with Ethan which is a couple of yrs ago.
It's so hard for all of us to gather as many of them are flying now.

Seeing how big Ethan is, reminds me of how fast time could pass..
I'm enjoying the growing up with Ethan even though he's such a "monster" now..

When he wants to get something, he cry if he couldnt get it!
He'll cry & scream & jump whenever he put him into the playpen!
He cannot see us sitting down watching tv, whenever he does, he'll cry!
He cannot see us eating, he'll make noise & eventually cry!
He dont want people to carry him, he'll let himself loose or wriggle down or cry!
He is messing up the place, pulling this & that out.. & run away!

One occasion, mum told me he played & tasted his "da bian" with a YUCK look!
I almost fainted!

Intending to change his milk since he is reluctant to drink not to mention finishing it..

今天是华人新年初十五,也就是华人过新年的最后一天.

这也是我第一次以华语来记载初一到五所发生的事.

可爱的振宇终于在新年前学会走路，走起来像只企鹅! 哈哈!

每次看着他走，心里总是害怕他会跌到，不过又好喜欢看他那企鹅般可爱的走法。真的是伤脑筋啊！

It's been some time since i last blog..

A quick one!

CNY comes n goes so quickly..

This yr's a boring one, no one jio me to gamble!
(PS: I not a hard core gambler k; just tat i like to gamble on CNY)

Ethan has walked!

In fact, he has started walking before CNY but lazy & lack of time to update.
Had a video of him walking like a penguin
Shall upload it once i'm free

Ethan is learning to talk & communicating with us!

Whenever he sees an apple, he'll point at it and say "apa"
Not only apple, when he sees an orange, he'll say "apa" too

When he sees the alphabets on the fridge, he'll point and say "aaaa"

When he sees us eating, he'll point at the food & say "mum mum" or "ma ma"

When he sees my mum, he call her "ma ma" (probably he hears me & bros calling her ma ma)

When he got hold of my hp, he'll immediately put it to his ear and say his baby language, sometimes looked as though he's trying to mimic us like adding some laughter while talking on the phone.

When he got hold of tv controller, he'll point it to the tv & switched my fav show!
Angry me would remove all the batteries & its cover followed by returning him those parts. He surprised me by putting the batteries back into the controller at the right +/- ends.

When we ask him to give us a "kiss kiss", he'll open his mouth big & kiss our cheeks.
After the kiss, he'll giggled

When i call out for him in my room, he'll walked to my door and peeped in; giving me a cheeky look & quickly walked off. What a cheeky boy!

Whenever i said "please" to him, he'll pass me whatever he's holding in his hands. He'll open his hand wide with a "ssss" to get it back.

Whenever he's sitting in his potty, he'll try to make the funny sound by opening his legs to make everyone around him lol. (Btw, the sound is made from the air trapped in the potty)

When he wants to ask where or what, he'll open his hands wide to look around (sometimes he does sound like asking "where" or "what" in his baby language)

There's so much things to update about him!

Gosh.. need to brush teeth & bathe!

Oh yes, finally i received the soft copy from them!!!

To me, the pictures are considered beautifully taken because babies of Ethan's age are classified under "buey si diam", must touch here & there or walk/crawl here & there!

This Ethan ONLY SMILE ONCE in the photoshoot!

His expression is almost the SAME throughout...

Btw, i think Ethan really slimmed down alot after being having running nose and bad cough.

Have u ever experience the feeling of trying hard to please someone & ended up making him/her angry?

I wondered if it's my attitude or temper or hers that has a problem..
Or is it purely becos of biasness sometimes?
Haii, i dun know..

Why is it that whatever i do would end up making her angry or frustrated?

It is so disheartening & hurting.

Is it so unlike of me to bear with the above by ranting in here instead.. argh!!

I wanted so much to make up those things she missed in the past but was not being appreciated.

Sometimes i just feel like flaring up & walk away like i do in the past..
but now, I CANT!

Fcuk! I hate this feeling..

Since i cant zzz, let me blog about something which was kept in me for awhile.

Perhaps i should lock my blog to avoid misunderstandings, it causing me some disturbance.

I'm someone weak, whenever i'm angry, sad or frustrated.. i'll broke into tears.

That explains why most of the time i'm ranting here..

Does my ranting or scolding of any particular person in here equivalent to the following behaviors:-

i should hate that person to core?
i draw a line with him/her?
put up a black face whenever i see him/her?

No!

However, after the unhappy incidents and we are back on good terms; does it means that i'm a hypocrite?

Maybe yes or maybe no.. how sure can you be?

You cant right? Hence, please stop giving negative comments..

IMO, who doesn't have conflicts with one another?

Suddenly i felt so OLD!

I'm 25 already!

Somehow I seem to have forgotten how i celebrated my past birthdays.

Memory is failing me ever since i'm pregnant with fat burger, i became very forgetful..

10 Dec 08, me, hubby n Lina went Liang Courts Partyworld to sing our lungs out! Lina could sing very well, shall jio her more to KTV!

11 Dec 08, exact birthday; for lunch, Jasan treated me to the restaurant in Jalan Selaseh. Tell u the food is damn damn damn good; i love their durian pudding.. very yummy! For dinner, hubby brought me to the zhi cha @ Ulu pandan, its 排骨王 & crayfish is good but their stingray is disappointing and it's their signature dish.

I dunno where fat burger learnt his cheekiness from, he was looking & smiling cheekily at pretty gers and also aunties! It's very funny!

So busy over the past week!!!!

Got to arrange for BBQ session and also moving house.

However, i got to see Ethan everyday after work for the past 3 wks as mum's place is doing some minor renovation.

I love ikea stool cos ethan will guai guai sit on it. He scare of falling off from the chair. Haha! Whenever he felt like he's falling, he would stretch his legs straight and hold on to the sides of the chair to balance himself. Super cute! He's a super good boy whenever he's sitting on it. This stool makes it easy for feeding cos he's unable to run about! Thumbs up!

Mummy has been complaing about the pain in her kneel cap so i brought her to a chinese physician last night.

Dr Tan Thoo Chee is recommended by my aunt.

When we got there at 7pm, there're many people squeezing inside the lil room. Wow.. he must be very PRO lo so i register my name as well. Haha!

My cough has yet recovered, it's been weeks.. i'm also experiencing neck stiff + migraine. Migraine has been haunting me every now & then since the birth of fat burger.

The 1st patient is saw poked with many needles from head to foot. Just her head alone, it was poked with approx. 6-8 needles.. Yucks! I was thinking of backing out..

Guess how long we waited? From 7pm, we wait till 9pm!

I told him the problems i'm having, after looking at my neck.. he said i have 颈椎 problem. Initially i tot it was neck problem but he said, the bone is a bit crooked & pressed onto one of my a vein that delivers oxygen to my heart.

That explains why i'm having difficulty in breathing and migraine.

If not cured, when i'm older.. i might get stroke or suddenly die in my sleep due to insufficient oxygen.

SO JIALET MEH???

He used a small round glass of a size like a tennis ball together with heat to rub on my back, super pain & hot ah! I was screaming away.. haha, then i cry!

Super scare of pain..

For mum, he said her body is still healthy but she has a weak stomach and nose. Most of the pain she mentioned about were caused by her weak stomach.

Fat Burger is BOTAK again!

He's being shaved bald on Tuesday, his "standing" hair are gone. We decided to shave his hair with hope that he'll have more hair in future.

He simply looked like a monk without hair & his head looks bigger than before.. Wahahahaaa!

throw things - bth, give him what he play less than 5 secs, he throw away

He still doesnt know how to walk on his own & he's lazy also. Whenever i hold on to his hands & asked him to walk, he'll want to sit down. So unco-operative...

I'm mixing his milk powder Enfalac A+ with Enfagrow (Vanilla), to see if he is ok with it before i totally switched over. So far so good, he does finish his milk sometimes.

Fat burger still haven recover from his running nose, mucus still continue to flow down.. he has slimmed down alot, cannot call him fat burger le.. slim burger? Wahahahaa!!

Fat burger's sick again. He's down with running nose & cough.

Brought him to see his PD, Dr Tan @ The Kids Clinic last Friday for his pneumococcal & chicken pox injections. This funny boy did not cry at all during the 1st injection BUT he cried loudly during the 2nd one.

His buey song cries is really cute but lasted awhile nia, unlike his mama! I'm super scared of injections, needle havent touch me; my tears drop down liao. Ho Ho Ho!

Dr Tan said he'll have fever due to pneumococcal injection and the fever might come back again 10 days later due to chicken pox. Indeed, fat burger was hot on Friday night hopefully 10 days later he wont.

After his fever, he had running nose & cough.

I did not have any good sleep over weekends. Fat burger always flip here & there to find his comfortable position; when he cant, he'll cry & I've to carry & sing him "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". My back super pain! Wa lao.. he tekan me the whole night!

My heart aches when he's unable to express himself when he's sick.

He didnt have a good sleep either, he slept at 8pm, woke up at 11+pm, 1am, 3am & 6.30am. I could hear wheezing sound when he coughed. I was so worried!

The next day we immediately brought him to the clinic at Hougang Green Shopping. Gosh, so many people are sick! The clinic is flooded with people, no choice have to wait outside..
